SHUSEN KURANO INC.
Founded in 1540 (the 12th year of the Tenbun era), this brewery boasts the longest history and tradition in Nagano Prefecture. Originally named Chino Shuzo, the brewery was renamed Sake Chikura-no following the retirement of the previous president. Today, Mariko Chino, a pioneering female master brewer, continues to preserve traditional techniques while using locally grown sake rice. The result is sake that is truly born and raised in Nagano, reflecting the region's terroir and craftsmanship.
