About Osuzuyama Distillery Founded in 1996, Osuzuyama Distillery uses the pure spring water of Mount Osuzu and locally grown ingredients cultivated by contracted farmers from the agricultural group Yomigaeru Daichi no Kai (“Reviving Earth Association”). The distillery produces three types of authentic shochu: Osuzuyama Yamaneko (sweet potato shochu) Osuzuyama Yamazaru (barley shochu) Yamasemi (rice shochu) With a deep respect for tradition, Osuzuyama practices time-honored methods such as handmade koji production and fermentation in wooden vats, valuing craftsmanship at every stage of the process. In 2019, the distillery obtained licenses for whisky and spirits production, embarking on a new chapter of exploration. As a distillery dedicated to expanding the possibilities of distilled spirits, Osuzuyama Distillery continues to take on new challenges with creativity and passion.
