About Tomono Shuzo Located in Saku City, Nagano Prefecture - the closest area in Nagano to Tokyo - Tomono Shuzo is just a short distance from Sakudaira Station, only 1 hour and 20 minutes by Shinkansen from Tokyo Station. Nestled at an altitude of approximately 700 meters, the brewery enjoys views of Mount Asama to the north, Mount Yatsugatake to the southwest, and Mount Arafune to the east. The region is known for its severe winters, with morning temperatures sometimes dropping as low as -15°C. Guided by the motto "Strict and Delicate Sake Brewing," Tomono Shuzo uses Nagano-grown sake rice - Hitogokochi and Miyama Nishiki - brewed with pure underground water from the Yatsugatake-Chikuma River system. The brewery is dedicated to crafting sake that preserves the living taste and gentle character of the rice, aiming to create a drink that customers can enjoy and cherish for a long time.
