Tasting Notes

Delicate aromas of ripe pear and white peach lead into Murayu's signature elegant sweetness. On the palate, the freshness of nama-zake shines through with juicy fruit-like notes and a gentle acidity that brings brightness and balance. As the flavor unfolds, soft rice-derived umami adds depth and richness, while the clean, refreshing finish leaves a lingering touch of sweetness that invites another sip.

Product Description

It has a sweetness that is typical of Murayu, but the gentle acidity makes it a bright and refreshing sake that conveys the deliciousness of the rice. The sweet and sour fruitiness and the mellow sweetness of the rice can be felt. We do not disclose the ingredients of this sake because we want people to taste the sake itself, not stereotypes.

Brewery introduction

Murayu Sake Brewery

Founded in Showa 23 (1948), we were among the first to begin sake brewing by family members. Our goal is to create sake that straightforwardly conveys the natural umami and sweetness of rice, based on a soft, well-rounded texture and a clean finish. We aim to expand the possibilities of sake with a flavor profile that breaks free from fixed notions and conventional standards.
