Product Description
A barley shochu born from a pursuit of simplicity and softness. Through repeated experimentation - including adjustments to the mash’s boiling point and modifications to the distiller - we crafted this refined Barley(Mugi) Shochu (barley shochu). It offers a smooth mouthfeel and a gentle, natural sweetness from the barley, spreading softly across the palate. Loved by people of all ages, it represents a new style of Barley(Mugi) Shochu that is both approachable and distinctive. Blended with original spirits distilled at atmospheric pressure for added depth and character.

Brewery introduction
Yanagita Distillery Co., Ltd.
Founded in 1902, Yanagita Shuzo is the oldest shochu distillery in Miyakonojo, with a history spanning over 117 years. Located in the southwest of Miyazaki Prefecture, the city of Miyakonojo once belonged to the Satsuma domain and lies in a basin surrounded by the Kirishima and Wanizuka mountain ranges-an area blessed with a warm, humid climate ideal for fermentation. Within the distillery grounds, a natural spring flows with pristine groundwater that has slowly filtered through layers of volcanic rock over many years, absorbing rich minerals and gentle carbonation along the way. This pure, mineral-rich water is a vital element in crafting our shochu. Though our team is small-fewer than ten people-each bottle is made with great care and passion under the guidance of Masashi Yanagita, the fifth-generation master distiller and former engineer. His technical precision and dedication have earned Yanagita Shuzo a loyal following of shochu enthusiasts throughout Japan.
