A luxurious harmony of refreshing green tea aroma and the rich flavor of sweet potato shochu. Chiran Tea refers to tea leaves grown in Minamikyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture-Japan's leading tea-producing region. Its warm climate, abundant sunlight, and fertile volcanic soil from Sakurajima make it ideal for tea cultivation, a tradition dating back to the Taisho era. Founded in 1919, Chiran Distillery is located in a scenic area surrounded by tea fields and sweet potato farms. The fourth-generation owner and master brewer, Noboru Mori, was born into a tea farming family and still cultivates tea today. After joining Chiran Distillery, he realized his vision of combining his own tea with handcrafted shochu-a collaboration born from a single artisan's passion for quality. Every year, Chiran TEA Shochu continues to evolve through countless trials and refinements. "We insist on using only first-flush tea and strive for the perfect blend to bring out its aroma. This sake expresses the refreshing fragrance of tea and the gentle harmony of sweet potato shochu." - Noboru Mori, Toji Serving Suggestions: Best enjoyed with Japanese cuisine-try it with soda or water for a refreshing twist. Pairs exceptionally well with sushi, making it the perfect companion from the first sip to the last.

Brewery introduction
Nakamura Shuzoujo Co., Ltd.
Chiran Town in Minamikyushu City, Kagoshima Prefecture, lies in the southern part of the Satsuma region-a historic town lined with samurai residences and rich in cultural charm. The distillery is surrounded by scenic fields of tea and sweet potatoes, both specialties of Chiran. Freshness is essential for crafting exceptional shochu, and we take full advantage of our location by using only locally grown, freshly harvested sweet potatoes. While preserving the traditions and techniques passed down since our founding, we continue to refine our craft and harness the blessings of nature. Our philosophy: "Both people and koji are gifts from nature-nurture them with care and live in harmony." Guided by these words, we brew shochu with sharpened senses and deep respect for nature.
